Blazers Lose Roy To Surgery On Both Knees

~ The Portland Trail Blazers have been hit hard by the injury bug the last couple of seasons. The team has announced that  Brandon Roy will have arthroscopic surgery on both of his knees next week, according to Yahoo Sports.

Roy has missed 16 games this season because of soreness in his knees, which he has said is caused by a lack of cartilage. He is a 3 time All Star and the 2007 NBA Rookie of the Year. Losing Roy is a big blow to Portland who already is without the often injured Greg Oden for the season due to microfracture knee surgery.  The team has said there is no timetable for Roy’s return, and announced on Dec. 30th that Roy would sit out indefinitely this season.
